Hunting — Oh yes, more than one couple has decided that the theme which best suits their wedding is a hunting theme. Just so long as the wedding jewelry is not bullets, right?! Although the shared passions of the bride and groom are a good place to seek inspiration for a wedding theme, killing things is not necessarily all that romantic.
Gothic — Subtle Gothic touches include jet black wedding jewelry, black candelabras filled with blood red roses, and bold makeup on the bride. More extreme couples have been known to take the Gothic Wedding Themes much further, such as hosting the wedding at a cemetery.
Elvis — Tell your fiance “I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You” with an Elvis theme wedding.
Pirate — Sail the Seven Seas with a pirate theme wedding. Think “sophisticated pirate”.
Cinderella — Many a bride has declared that she wants to feel like a princess on her wedding day, but few actually go so far as to base their wedding theme on a fairy tale. This is a fairly easy theme to build around, given all the Cinderella imagery available in movies and books.
The best thing about a wedding theme is that it can give direction to your wedding planning.
Wedding Themes for All Seasons
Wedding themes add a certain element in the occasion. Coming up with interesting themes for a wedding requires a little research.
• Color — Color themes may be a bit cliché when it comes to weddings. Instead of using white as the base color in the wedding palette, use other bold colors.
• Seasons — Seasons make great wedding themes. For example, a spring-themed wedding can use all the colorful flowers that bloom during the season. A garden wedding is also appropriate for a spring-themed wedding.
• Having an all-seafood menu will complement this theme.
• Occasion — A Christmas wedding theme will use red and white as its color palette.
• Item — Items can become themes for a wedding.
• Hobby — The hobby of the couple can also inspire the theme for their wedding. Wedding themes will make your wedding extra interesting. To your beautiful wedding!
